The Challenge
3 October 2026 | In aid of Lady McAdden
Team Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust are taking on London’s Thames Path Challenge to raise vital funds to support people in Essex before, during and after Breast Cancer.
Join us in breast cancer awareness month on this tough one day challenge to trek a marathon (42km), or half marathon (21km) along London’s Thames Path. Starting at Hampton Court you will pass historic parkland, iconic London sights like the Houses of Parliament to finish at the Millennium Bridge on the Southbank.
Help us to raise funds for this important resource by coming on the challenge!
About Us
Lady McAdden is an Essex based breast cancer charity and one of the few charities in the UK to offer free one-to-one nurse appointments to discuss breast health concerns, without needing a GP referral. We raise awareness of the importance of early detection of Breast Cancer through education and advice, basing our information on the latest scientific research and working closely with the NHS to ensure that we compliment the 5-point plan of Breast Screening.
In response to conversations with those diagnosed with breast cancer, we have a vital new resource available to all, on a pay what you can basis called The McAdden Sanctuary. This is a nurturing space offering emotional and holistic support through classes like Pilates and meditation, wellbeing therapies such as oncology massage, reflexology and counselling, and opportunities to connect with others through creative sessions, and group discussions. All so we can deliver vital support beyond the medical.
